I was able to attend the AZ 5A state wrestling tournament a little bit ago to cheer on the school where I won my state championship and coached at for a year with coach Pepe Moreno.

Cibola did a great job as always under Pepe. There were some closes losses, one unfortunate disqualification and one upset against Cibola but for the most part the kids fought hard and did great.

The 103 Rafael Jaimes is a Sophomore and he took 4th at 103. He is the son of the first state champ in Raider historu.

112- The defending state champ from Cibola is a junior and could have been the school’s first 3 timer but he got upset by a Freshman that came out of nowhere and the title. Adam took 3rd place and will be back next year.

119- Eric Arias took 4th

135- Ernesto Prieto wrestled a rematch from last years state finals where he got beat up. This year he took it t0 the and had the take down for the win but just couldnt pull it off at the end. Great match and best wrestling Ernesto ever wrestled. He ended with another Runner up

152 Diego Sanchez took 3rd

I turned 26 on Monday and I have been celebrating my Birthweek LOL. We had a cook out for everybody on Saturday before the B-day. I got some ammo, gloves for my quad and a lcase for my laptop. However my best gift was a Dora the Explorer birthday card in Spanish from my coach Chance. On Monday I hungout with my friends and family. We drink patron and bud light until 7 am. I ate dinne with my family at apple bees and conitnued the celebration. On Wednesday Efrain came down and we all went to Mexico to party again. Another early morning bed time.

But dont be worried guys It was my B-day. I am back training again already. Stay tuned for updates on Shannon Gugerty’s camp he fights March 27th against Clay Guida. Efrain and I are headed to Big Bear.

Hey everybody, hope all is well.

This weekend I watched UFC 110 in Australia and it was a great fucking card. First off congrats to Cain for his TKO of Nog. Nog is a great guy who allowed me to stay at his house in Miami. He is extremely friendly and a living legend. It was hard to root against him , so I didn’t i just rooted for Cain. I smell a new HWT champion soon.

After the UFC we celebrated drinking beers in back yard. My coaches Chance Farrar and Anthony Haile stopped by and hung out. We ate manta ray and shrimp. Drank some Bud lights. Good shit.

Thanks for checking out my blogs. This weekend was full of fights and football. UFC 109 was better than expected, my man Randy Couture choked Coleman unconscious and does not look 46. Chael Sonnen was impressive as well as Paulo Thiago, Damian Maia and Matt Serra. Overall they were some good fights. I spent the night with family and friends.

Superbowl Sunday was just as fun. Everybody was rooting for Peyton Manning, but I am a Cardinals fan and the Saints beat the Cardinals, so I was rooting for the Saints so the Cardinals only lost to the Champs. The game started off all Colts but the Saints made a great comeback and made it exciting. Afterwrds i swent out woth friends and drank some beers.

This past weekend I was joined by fellow MTX fighters Danny Martinez, Ryan Kelly, Jesse Forbes and Jason Karpel at Star Power in Scottsdale. The place had this bad ass surround sound system and a huge 100+ inch TV for $75,000. There also was a room that was playing the movie Ironman, the seats vibrated with the movie, it was cool shit.

While at the event I was able to hang out with the other fighters and fans. I took pictures and signed autographs. I was a much better experience than i thought it would be.

This week was my first week in the gym in a long while. On Tuesday I lightly hit some Thai Pads and then I sparred boxing at the Arizona Athletic Club. My knee is a bit better but still having some issues. Waiting on the MRI still. Thursday morning was jiu jitsu. I realize I miss training.

Not much else going on except hanging with friends and family.

Me and the MTX fight team will be making a appearance at the Star-Power again in Scottsdale Sunday Jan. 31st from 1pm to 5pm . BE THERE! We will be signing autographs, taking pics and a lot more fun stuff.

I am back in Yuma for the week and somehow I was talked into babysitting my nephew for the past couple of days. Days full of cartoons and keeping him out of trouble, there is no time to relax. I dont cook very well so today I took him out to eat for some chicken tenders and let him play on the play ground. I couldn’t wait for my sister to get off work so I could get back to a normal life of going wherever I want whenever I want.
Thank you FREEDOM. No kids for me any time soon.
